We flew Hangard Airlines from Ulan Battar to the Gobi Desert. The airplane was a Russian built, high-wing, twin engine, turbo-prop Antonov An-24. (Photos when we have our pictures back.) Hangard is a privately owned, domestic Mongolian Airline. (MIAT is the government owned domestic and international airline.)

Here are the safety rules that were in the seat pocket of the plane.

RULES TO FOLLOW DURING EMERGENCY
AIR LANDING

WARNING.
1. Please be calm and self-controlled in any emergency situation.
2. Please sit on your place and fasten the belt.
3. Please follow rules demanded by crew members.
4. Do not forget the rule "First your legs and then your head" when plane will land the airport.
5. Please leave the plane through the exit or emergency passage shown by the crew members.

WHAT TO DO.
In case the plane will land in other place than airport remember the following:

- Put your seat in up position and check the belt.
- Put away from your body combs, glasses, artificial teeth, ball pens and other sharp properties and objects.
- Unbutton the collar on your shirts and clothes, make the tie on your neck and other clothes lease.
- Take off if you have high heal shoes.
- Prepare some soft materials or things to prevent your head from being hit when plane will make an emergency landing.
- Please bend forward and rap your head with soft material, cross your forearms and put them on your head, press your knees with your elbows when warning note "Attention, Landing" will be given.
- Keep yourself in this position when the plane will land and come to complete stop. Follow the emergency rules and leave the the plane through the passage shown by crew members.
- Leave the plane immediately and go away from -the landing place for about 100 metres as quick as possible.
