It's adventure travel.
It's going somewhere and making the most of it.
It's about being spontaneous and having fun - doing things that challenge you and put you out of your comfort zone.
Trips from 1998 to 2007 are listed below.

2007 - Bhutan, with
Sierra Club and Lingkor Tours. Moving fast into the 21st century and doing it well; beautiful and fascinating.
2006 - China & Tibet, with Overseas Adventure Travel. Participate in the life of a country that is rooted in history and moving into the future faster than almost any other country in the world.
2002 - France Bike and Barge, bicycling in the
wine country of Burgundy with
Vermont Bicycle Tours and sightseeing in Brittany.

we could talk with. Occasionally we had to listen carefully, but they seemed to understand us with little or no difficulty.
2001 - Mongolia, the steppes, Gobi and mountains with
Escapes Unlimited. Air so clear you can't see
it and you can see forever.

to escape from its past and beginnings the long climb up the economic scale.

one-day interesting (two at most). Malaysia: a country that has escaped
from colonial charm to urban congestion and smog.

most of the comforts of home.
